October 5th, 2009- SmithStreetSolutions Director Anders Paulsson’s insights were featured in an article published today by ChemicalWeek examining the effects of China’s economic stimulus package on the chemical industry. According to Paulsson, the Chinese chemical industry is “among the industries that benefited disproportionately from the effects of the Chinese stimulus package,” due to the package’s focus on infrastructure construction and investment. Paulsson also shared his view that, although the Chinese government has a longstanding policy of developing inland areas, “the move west will be relatively slow.”
